![]() The HUMAN-ARTS List is an unmoderated forum for discussing Humanities (Literature, Journalism, Archaeology, Anthropology, Philosophy), the Performing Arts (Music, Dance, Drama) and Visual Arts (painting, drawing, sculpture, crafts, etc.), all from a world-view approach. HUMAN-ARTS is intended for the scholar, teacher, performer, composer, librarian, technician, director, administrator, publisher or anyone who is interested in the subject. The list was created in conjunction with the free Web hosting service, Artists-In-Residence. Subscribers are welcome to share announcements about upcoming performances and conferences, newly published bibliographic sources or course materials, and newly opened internet resources relevant to this list. The subscriber is also encouraged to introduce herself/himself to the others on the list. To subscribe, place the following command in the body of an e-mail message addressed to majordomo@artists-in-residence.com: subscribe human-arts
Subscribers post messages to this list by sending to: Non-subscribers can not post to the list; however, they may contact me and request that their message be forwarded to the list. If it's relevant to the list, I'll be happy to do so.
To get a description of the various user commands available,
including how to get this list in digest form and how to unsubscribe,
send the following command to majordomo@artists-in-residence.com: Discussion on HUMAN-ARTS can be varied and spirited as long as it stays within the bounds of the list's focus. There are, however, two No-No's. Friendly disagreement is fine, but flame wars are verboten. I will not hesitate to do whatever necessary to quash them, up to removing the participants from the list. The second thing is the posting of commercial advertising on unrelated topics on the list. Again, the listowner will take any steps necessary to discourage the sender, including submitting a complaint to the spammer's account administrator. If you have any questions about the list itself, please contact me at human-arts@artists-in-residence.com. I look forward to hearing from you on HUMAN-ARTS!
