Artists-in-Residence--Free Web Hosting for Arts and Humanities

What's New Page

Good day to you!

You have entered the Office of Artists-In-Residence, which offers free personal, business, and organizational Web sites exclusively to those in the Performing and Visual Arts and the Humanities.

Greetings! My name is Randye Jones. I am the Landlady here at Artists-In-Residence.

I, like the residents here, am an artist--a musician to be more precise. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Bennett College in Greensboro, NC, and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Florida State University, Tallahassee. (If you want to learn more about my current research and performance activities, visit www.artofthenegrospiritual.com.)

Come Down Angels By the way, I've been busy producing my debut recording, Come Down Angels. It's from a series of recitals of Negro spirituals I've begun giving. (The art work was created by A-I-R resident Karin Skold.) If you want to leave more about the cd, please visit my AhhJay Records Web site.

I opened Artists-In-Residence on February 1, 1999. Why? Two reasons, really. One is because I saw an opportunity to gather a community of artists together and at the same time offer a service that's still needed on the Internet. The second reason is that I would be able to offer an Arts-oriented home to the clients who come to me seeking my Web design talents via my company, A Touch of Classics.

Artists-In-Residence has changed considerably in its nearly five years of existence. There are now residents from 30+ countries.

Please feel free to contact me if you need assistance. I can be reached at:
